Your data

Umbral Studio

Privacy
made clear.

This policy explains how we process personal data received through our website and business inquiries.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Santiago Guerra, an individual operating under the name Umbral Studio, based in Bogotá, Colombia.

What we collect and why

When you send an inquiry, we receive your name, email, company if provided, selected service, project description and answers to any additional campaign form questions. We record the date, language and the authorization you give when submitting.

We use this information to respond, understand your project, prepare a proposal and follow up on that conversation. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter. We do not request sensitive information or children’s data; please leave them out of your message.

You can choose not to complete the form and contact us by email instead. Required fields allow us to respond to your request. We will use your data for other purposes only with the appropriate authorization or legal basis.

Analytics and browser storage

Our own analytics measure page visits, contact link usage, form submissions and loading times. They record the page path, language, general device type and, when available, referral source or campaign. They do not contain your messages, name or email.

Our own measurement respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Campaign attribution may use sessionStorage for thirty minutes within the tab. The initial configuration does not use advertising cookies. Measurement events are retained for up to ninety days; reports may show aggregated results.

We also use Plausible Community Edition, hosted on our server, to measure visits, page views, referring domains, approximate country, device and contact actions. This integration excludes URL parameters and fragments, referring page paths and form contents. It uses no cookies or persistent identifiers and respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control.

Servers and security providers process technical data, such as IP addresses, to deliver the site and limit abuse. Images and fonts are served by the website. An external video loads only when you choose to play it; its provider then receives technical data about that connection.

Access, providers and retention

Inquiries are stored in the private administration panel, with access limited to authorized people handling them. We use OVHcloud for hosting, Cloudflare for DNS, delivery and security, and Google Workspace for email. These providers may process information outside Colombia as service processors, subject to applicable terms and obligations.

We retain inquiries as needed to handle them, provide requested follow-up or meet contractual, accounting or legal obligations. We review whether they remain necessary and handle deletion requests when applicable. Recovery copies remain for their rotation cycle with restricted access. We do not sell your data.

Your rights and how to exercise them

You may access, update and correct your data, request proof of authorization, learn how it is used, access it free of charge, and request withdrawal of authorization or deletion when there is no legal or contractual duty to retain it. You may also complain to Colombia’s Superintendence of Industry and Commerce after first completing the inquiry or complaint procedure with us.

Write to [email protected] with the subject “Personal data”, your name, how to reach you and your request. If acting on someone else’s behalf, provide the relevant authorization. We will ask only for information needed to verify your identity and handle the request.

We handle inquiries and complaints within the time limits of Colombia’s Law 1581 of 2012 and its implementing rules. If we need further information or a permitted extension, we will explain why and provide a response date. Santiago Guerra is responsible for handling these requests.

Effective date and changes

This policy is effective from October 20, 2026. Databases remain in use for the time required by the purposes described and applicable obligations. We will publish updates here and communicate material changes before they take effect, obtaining new authorization when required.
